Cold Harbor

Cold Harbor Battlefield was only a few miles off the main route. The National Park only encompasses a small portion of the actual battlefield.

Pvt. John W. Swarthout of the New York 148th VI took a bullet in the arm here on June 2, 1864

The Confederate earthworks looking toward the direction the Union Forces would have charged.

Along one of the earthworks.

These would have been open fields when the Union charged.

One of the few monuments at Cold Harbor.
